Seq2Enz method is a new way of assigning enzyme class to a protein sequence using the structural-chemical properties of amino acids in place of conventional classifications of the building blocks of proteins. Seq2Enz uses NCL+mask BLAST methodology (New Chemical Logic for amino acid properties implemented with maskBLAST) for finding a similar enzyme class by scoring the most frequent ones in the hits.
